Why a Male Massage Therapist Might Surprise You – But Shouldn’t
Many people are surprised when they realize that I’m a male massage therapist. They often come in expecting a female practitioner, and I can sense their hesitation. While I understand this stems from social conditioning, it still saddens me.
Massage therapy is not about gender. It's about skill, presence, intention, and the ability to connect on a healing level. A therapeutic massage given by a knowledgeable and grounded male therapist can be just as—if not more—deep, powerful, and transformative than expected.
Massage is not just about momentary pleasure or relaxation. It's a sacred space for healing—physical, emotional, and even energetic. When done with respect and awareness, it becomes a bridge toward balance, clarity, and renewal.
Let’s move beyond outdated stereotypes and recognize the value of touch that heals, regardless of who offers it. 💆🏽♂️💆🏼♀️✨
